Fuel cost per kilometre = fuel price ÷ fuel efficiency. EV cost per kilometre = consumption ÷ 100 × the weighted depot/public electricity price. The planning-period difference includes your maintenance assumption and subtracts the upfront premium and allocated charger cost.
This is not full total cost of ownership. Residual value, finance, tax, insurance, downtime, grants and other operating costs are excluded. Use your own contracted prices and measured consumption. No forecast of future energy prices is made.
